My beautiful daughter gets her Angel Wings

It is with the biggest hole in my heart, that I let you know, my daughter Jamie (whom I called Jordan in my work, until her death) was called home on August 28, 2016. She was murdered in Indio, CA.

While I will never know if she would have stood up to battle her addiction Beast for good, I do know that she is safely in the arms of Jesus. Now, I will try to figure out how to live with this huge hole in my heart. I will take my sweet girl with me on my journey to help other to learn how to fight for their lives.

Jamie will NOT be remembered as a junkie or a murder victim. My legacy will not be one of that of a mom of an addict or the mom of a murder victim. Together, Jamie and I will stand for those who find it hard to stand. We will work to remove the shame, guilt and stigma surrounding these types of Beasts, and those others live with.

Thank you so much for all of your love and support. I am still standing.
